Introduction
This guide was written as an introduction for eight-string Warr guitar players. However, because the concepts are broad, they can be applied to the melody side of Chapman Stick, or guitars tuned in fourths.

This document began its life as a series of diagrams for my own use, but I believe others may benefit from the concepts. I'm providing this information on the web because I don't feel like getting into the niche book publishing business. Publishing on the web also enables me to revise and update the information at my leisure.

If you find this information useful, I would appreciate it if you would take a moment to check out my CDs: Blue Forest Mass and Archetribe:Earthtones available at Amazon.com. Also consider my Ominous Drones sampling CD available from Big Fish Audio.
